Calzaghe is right when he says "To be honest it would be frightening what I could do to him if we fought, he doesn't seem to realise that holding your hands up and defending yourself is a pretty vital part of boxing."

What do other people think should carl froch stop trying to call calzaghe out of retirement?

i think so as 1. calzaghe would destroy him
    2. carl froch is a nobody trying to get fame quick by fighting the "greats"

didnt calzaghe do the exact same thing? 1 guy was completely shot and the other got robbed.

also calling calzaghe a "great" is an insult to great people around the world.

nah dont think so bat calzaghe was going on about retiring for a long time and hes not going to come out of retirement just because of froch.

expect to see joe staying retired.

He is looking for a comeback. I know he's been rumoured to be tring to get a fight with Zsolt Erdei. Beating the lineal champ would be a huge accomplishment and do wonders for his legacy. Just ask the Floydstans.

Kessler commented on that and said something like he was flattered (bad sound on the feature).

hahahaha good one. that would be like fighting a mirror. if only sven ottke could show up and fight the winner. the triangle of irrelevance would be complete.

u wouldnt mind him destroying froch lol he made a big impact on america....something tht calzaghe failed to do

I don’t blame Froch for wanting to fight Calzaghe, as it probably would be the most financially advantageous fight he could get at this time. However, I think Calzaghe is serious about his retirement and won’t ever be back in the ring. So while right now I understand, if he is still trying a few months from now it would be embarrassing. At some point you got to create your own legacy and make people want to fight you. For the record, I think Froch will in fact be smart enough to move on.
