this fight kills me , because i believe hatton will win and i im rooting for hatton , however in the case that floyd beats jmm and hatton wins i dont want to see hatton vs floyd 2 i much rather see pac vs floyd.

Co-sign.. Manny has never had power in either hand even at light. He has something more along the lines of "snap" in his punches... Punches that could sting you a little but not hurt anyone seriously. Anyone who thinks that Manny punches hard is out of there mind... it is the combination of punishment that allows him to do damage.. He is not like Hatton where he can put you down AND out with a single hook to the body. He had JMM realing for the entire round 1 and couldn't put him away. People like to start convo about Manny's power vs Hatton or Floyd. Bottomline, the little power that Manny has is at Light and no other weight (which is why Freddie is trying to blow up his speed as if we didn't know about it). Hatton has been knocking people out with body shots his entire career at JuniorWW (doesn't mean he can move up to JuniorMW and have the same effective power). And Floyd really doesn't come to the ring to knock anyone out at all... he comes to box. He is defensive minded first and then looks for countering opps on the offense. His precision and timing are unmatched and combine that with speed and you have a really dangerous formula.. that is better than power because he can tee off on your chin as if it had an infrared beam on it and swivel your head around like a bobble head.

Sorry to break your hearts but Manny is in for a nightmare at the very least.. This will be exactly as Cotto v Margarito!!!!!!!!!

You mean the 8 punch laser guided nuclear warhead recoilless combo, right? Because that's what's coming and Ricky can't take it. The plan will fly out the window in no time. The skill differential is amazing. Add to that a real good training ethics by Pacquiao and REAL discipline he has always had (the man can train in Hollywood and still have that discipline). I don't see how Ricky can win that one. The only surprise we will see is Pacquiao actually being the stronger man and pushing Hatton back. We will see this around round 3 when Pacquiao notices he can hit Hatton and not worry about a counter. Did anyone notice how Pacquiao was respecting Hoya until he saw Oscar was flat? That comes from fighting Marquez who really makes you pay for any mistakes as he is the best counter-pucher in the game right now. This will probably give Hatton a couple competitive rounds in which he will diet jabs and watch Pacman's in and out-before-you-can-do-****-about-it movement. After the third Pacquiao will probably have tasted Hatton's power and feel ok to move in for the kill.

good post. i think the battles with marquez have brought them both to another level. hatton is not a counterpuncher and will get hit while pac moves to the side. i dont see anything hatton can bring except that close quarter stuff. i think pac is ready for that though.

Of all the things Mayweather taught Hatton he better of taught Ricky the COunter RightHand. The Jab is important especially when PacMan is backing up but the COunter Right hand will win the fight for Ricky. Manny is quick and will get off his left hand faster than Ricky so is a matter of being able to block or take a good shot then fire back a counter right hand which usually sends PacMan straight back and Manny cannot fight going backwards like Mayweather Jr. Is going to be a great fight and Not sure who is going to win this fight but i have a bill on Hatton so guess i am going for Hatton. Mannys speed and power may make my money disappear but i think Hatton has a good chance if he can get manny going backwards and of course the counter right hand when Manny is coming forwards. Afterall there is only one Ricky Hatton
