I have Carbajal as number 1, Zapata was a great fighter, no doubt about it though.

Eh, these guys do have a point... if Ricardo Lopez made it on the list for having 3 fights at the weight, I think Calderon should be on there, considering he has two wins over a guy who is ranked somewhere close to #10 on the ATG 108 lb list.

Why would someone have Gonzalez over Carbajal?

Apparently it's the correct thing to do, since you and the list both have Carbajal quite a bit ahead, but...

Gonzalez won the rematch and the rubber, and to be honest, I felt like he was dominating the first fight (it was competitive, and Gonzalez was taking punishment, but Carbajal was taking truckloads more if my memory serves me correctly) until he got caught with one of the hardest punches I've ever seen.

So enlighten me, please.

Well, it's pretty much why Zapata is ranked ahead of Chang. Head to head Chang has wins over Zapata but Zapata is ranked ahead because of the depth of his wins at the weight, same thing for Carbajal and Gozalez IMO.

You missed the part which read: "Fighters currently active in the division were not considered."

How and where to include active guys has been a tough choice from list to list. In this case, with very real possibilities for fights amongst some top guys, I think this current class deserves more time to work it out. Cazares is at 115 now so he can crack in. Calderon would have been above him and likely will finish higher should he keep winning. You'll get plenty of Ivan in the next/last list.

At least you read`the whole thing before posting your opinion. It is obvious that the iron boy will be there and of course at the minimum weight list where imo Finito Lopez will be #1.

Lopez and Calderon dominated the minimum weights not the Jr. Flyweights.


I agree with the list except, I would put Jung Koo Chang over Hilario Zapata in number 1.
