G.Leon says that Taylor is DONE

Here is what Leon said about Taylor:

Leon's Response: I'll say here what everybody else has been saying behind Jermain Taylor's and Lou DiBella's back.Jermain Taylor is done. He's made a ton of money, and he's been knocked out twice in his last four fights. Who really cares about seeing him fight a stooge to get knocked out again the next time he faces somebody with a pulse, capable of taking advantage of his De La Hoyaesque ability to finish, or not finish fights? Something tells me we'll see Jermain face a very weak contender before losing to Froch or somebody else again.

Well he is an advisor, is he right?

I think Taylor is either done or just a journeyman now.

Taylor might not be a big American star fighter anymore, but he still has a lot left in him. People act like he was dominated by Froch, if he was I would agree that he is done. Even though Taylor doesn't like boxing itself too much, he loves to fight.

As a really highly thought of guy yea, atleast for now. It is possible for Jermaine to come back, I do not know how likely he is to turn around his career but stranger things have happeaned in boxing.

Taylor still has mad skills , nasty jab and speed , but he should only fight in 10 rounders !

He may have down greated to a very good journymen !

First off, Greg Leon is not what you would call a huge Taylor fan.

Second... I am a big Taylor fan and as he was getting KO'd in the last round, I turned to my wife and said, "His career is over, he will retire after this."

Then he came out in the post-fight interview, seeming to be in ok spirits, and said, "Hell yeah I want a rematch."

And in the post-fight press conference, Dibella said he'd like for JT to fight again in September.

So that got me thinking... if Taylor wants to keep fighting, he definitely can... and if he wants it badly enough and can work hard enough, he even has a chance at a decent comeback...

But that's what everyone has been saying about Taylor forever now... he can... not he will.

So will he ever win another world title? I don't know... honestly, I can't see it happening unless he finally puts his **** together... in which case, he can win another world title...

I'm not a huge fan of Leon's, but his opinion on Taylor definitely isn't without cause... all depends on what you're definition of "done" is.

I stand behind Jermain, I think he still has a future in front of him.. He needs adjustments in his training camp, and or trainer..
