Is Floyd, Joy, Mayweather Sr. really that delusional?

He says Pacquiao throws his hands like an amateur, yet he's knocked down Juan Manuel Marquez 4 or 5 times in 2 fights. Stopped Erik Morales and Barrera. You don't do things like that without excellent power and accuracy.

Then you have Ricky Hatton mocking the Pacquaio training style of throwing the hook and rolling under.....when he's basically doing the same thing (1-2-3-2 roll, 1-1)....the last time he made fun of a training style he got stopped and now currently uses that exact method of training.

Juan Diaz hit Juan Manuel Marquez at will, Marquez does not have the best defense in the game. Pacquiao does get off balance at times, Marquez caught him with several good shots when Pacquiao threw his wild off balance lefts.

I think big Floyd was just exaggerating a bit there.

Manny didn't get that far fighting like an amateur.

Nobody is 'delusional'; it's all just hype and mind-games. What they say has little to do with what they think. The Hatton camp know exactly what Pacquiao can do, and the Pacquiao camp know exactly what Hatton can do, and both are doing their best to perfect the approach most likely to defeat the other.

Love them or hate them, both boxers are among the very best at what they do, as are both trainers.

Manny does lunge a lot when he throws punches. It's a mean shot you don't want to get in the way of, but he throws it with such ferocity that he loses balance when he misses or slips off. Prince Naseem, another little power puncher, had the same problem.

Manny does not have the same problem as Naseem Hamed. Naseem Hamed was the epitome of "amateur"

Hatton doesn't have a clue. If he did he would of questioned Billy Graham's tactics before he lost. Even when he was winning his fights you would of thought he'd have the brains to realize that at some point he would need to develop a jab, and work on his defence more.

Knowing what someone is going to do and avoiding their punches are two different things. Hopkins criticized Taylor's technique, and yet he could not capitalize on is come fight night.
