Vazquez had surgery to his right eye to correct a detached retina. The process to get his license straightened out has been a long ordeal. [details]

Above all else, I hope he gets healthy. Not only for boxing, but for his life.

As much as I wanna see him back in the ring, I don't wanna see anything tragic happen.

juanma said this is his last year at 122,so vazquez can take one fight at 126,then meet juanma at 126,he deserves a fight after a very long lay off before facing juanma,,by the time he fights again, were talking about a year and a half off, thats too much to go straight to a big fight,i think he can fight luevano, and juanma will go up as he said, that would be a good fight

I hope he gets better but a detached retina is a serious injury. I wonder if he will ever be the same fighter? I know I would sure love to see him fight again but only if it's safe for him and he isn't a shell of his former self..

The "super-featherweight" part of the article is a typo I'm assuming.

Anyway, I did find it odd that he doesn't want to fight at 122 anymore, because there are no more good opponents, but a fight with Juan Manuel Lopez is interesting. Hmmmmmm...

I hope Juanma vs Vazquez can be made at 126 so that Juanma could concentrate on Caballero and Rafa at 122.
