No dout Ward was one hell of a warrior and gave the fans great excitment over the years, but he isn't worthy to be inducted into the Hall Of Fame.
Especailly when fighters like Sumbu Kalambay, Ceferino Garcia, Naseem Hamed, and Jung-Koo Chang haven't been inducted in it yet and may other more worthy fighters than Ward.Comment

Come on now.
Ward was a very entertaining fighter, and I know Canastota doesn't have the highest standards compared to other sports, but still....Ward doesn't deserve the HOF.Comment

They should have a section in the HOF,for heart,then Ward and many brave fighters with limited skill could have a piece of imortality!!!Comment

No, they shouldn't.
There's been a lot of exciting fighters throughout history, many contenders who were entertaining. That alone shouldn't get you into the HOF, and Ward doesn't belong in there either.
It'll be ridiculous if guys like Ward and Gatti get into Canstota while guys like Lloyd Marshall, Eddie Booker, Julian Jackson, Marlon Starling, Donald Curry, Esteban Dejesus, and numerous others are not in there.Last edited by Thread Stealer; 04-28-2009, 07:52 PM.Comment

I don't think he is hall of fame material, but he shouldn't be forgotten. They should build a statue of him and gatti in atlantic city or something.
this point in the fight would be good, and it wouldn't be to difficult to build. a statue and plaque would be great imo
