    Billy gets gruff with Hatton

BILLY GRAHAM has gone through with his threat to sue Ricky Hatton after he was dumped as his trainer.

The Preacher never had a written contract but was always given around 10 per cent of the Hitman’s purse in a gentleman’s agreement.

But Graham believes he is owed 10 per cent of Hatton’s earnings, totalling millions.

He said: “It’s been a fairytale and the fairytale has now been ruined. For me it has anyway. I loved him.”

I don't understand how he's got a case, Hatton has other earners outside of boxing, how come Billy gets a slice of that. He gets 10% of each fight and thats it. done.

It was a strange ending , you would think he'd have stayed involved some way even if not first choice trainer

You know, I never liked the guy before or anything, but for some strange reason I feel bad for him. He really did genuinely seem to care about Ricky and is probably just shocked at what happened.

I do feel bad for Graham, the guy had always been Hatton's trainer and then just got thrown to the side, not involved whatsoever.

and whats more, Sr has been putting him down a lot, and Hatton doesnt even shows signs of trying to back up his old friend.

call him a bad trainer if you will, but he still got Hatton to where he is today, which is a good accomplishment. I wouldnt say that Hatton is incredibly naturally gifted.

If Hatton kept his agreement and "always paid" the 10%, then what is BG looking for?

He was quite a sympathetic character for a while but suing for money he didn't actually earn is a bit rum.

I dunno. Maybe it's a personal thing, trying to send a message. It wasn't just a trainer split but a friendship split. I'm sure that hurt. I mean I've seen him interviewed and he just looks like a shell of his former self. Like I said I thought he was a tool before, but this is just sad.

Being a trainer myself, I understand what he's going through. I never had something like this happen since I only train amateurs but you have to understand business is business.

I guess Hatton should have kept him involved in some manner but again, that might have been very tough considering the type of personality Floyd Sr. has.

You get attached to the fighters you train and they to you. In the long run though, you have to do what's best for them. Hatton felt he wasn't progressing with him and decided to move on, I think it was the right choice.

Say what you want about Floyd Sr. but he's one hell of a trainer and has his fighters in tip top shape and prepared for their opponents.
