Yes, he was. Most observers, including the judges, scored a close decision win for Hatton over Collazo.

People should stop bringing it up as if it was a loss, because it was a win!

If pacman KOs hatton at hattons best weight, I think it definitely trumps floyds win...Not that Floyds win over Hatton wasnt very good.

Hatton is 45-1 now - no one else has ever beaten him.

But if Hatton is easily KOed by Pacquiao, does that make Floyd's win over Hatton meaningless?
Floyd fights the winner....is basically all that matters.

As I can recall Hatton wanted to Floyd fight at 147, he had no issue taking the fight. Being the first to do something is always better, the weight thing is a huge red herring.

agreed, and a ****ing good win at that. I've been far from impressed with Hatton before, but not the Collazo fight, that was one hell of a performance. First big fight abroad, moves up in weight and gets himself involved in a right old sortout with one of the best Welters around. What a way to test the water !

I had him winning by a point but he deserved it for bravery alone. He was in deep in that fight but he came through.
