Croch has little to no skill and would be upended by Joes speed and counter punching ability. Calzaghe faught Manfredo because Manfredo had a huge American household name thanks to a show called the Contender and Calzaghe wanted his name to get around the US before he made the trip accross the pond. Was not really needed because I think everyone already knew who Calzaghe was but it did not hurt as thanks to Manfredo's tv reality popularity, Calzaghe became even a bigger name. Taylor was still fighting at 160 and so was Pavlik. Both Taylor and Pavlik faught at a catch weight due to a clause in the contract that demanded a rematch between Taylor and Pavlik at 166 if Taylor were to lose the first fight which he did. (Pavlik and Taylor were middle weights at the time) Pavlik is still a middle weight.
