Some of his fans said that he's always been just a few lbs over the limit on fight night, whatever division he's been in. So maybe he just can't dehydrate his body like other boxers can. So that would make him a WW.
Can ANYONE explain this to me?

Thank god I grew up before the Floyd brigade started using this level of absurdity to defend their boy.Comment

Marquez was moving up to 140 regardless.
Marquez was moving up to 140 regardless.
He's a small Welterweight.
No **** sherlock.
Who are these real Welterweights?(keep in my mind Mayweather called out Mosley)Comment

It's really tragic, when you think about how many of them actually believe the **** they spout.
I got no beef with Floyd as a fighter, so long as he's facing guys in his own division.
I loved him at 130 and 135.
But his "run" at 147 has been seriously weak. Judah (a guy who never should've left 140), Hatton (another guy who doesn't belong above 140), Baldomir, and Mitchell?Comment

Who are these 'some'
I always wanted to see Mayweather/Cotto so idk if your sayying 'some' to not name names or you mean me?
Those who know me, know i been screaming out a match between Mosley/Mayweather...Comment

Cotto who he refused to face. Mosley, who JUST called him out, and JUST got a no, regardless of history between the two. Clottey. Those are just a few.
Basically anyone with a win in a title fight (Quintana, Collazo) are already much more established than Marquez at 147, considering Marquez's highest weight with a win is 135.
It's just nuts that a small WW, who can't make 140 refuses to fight anyone who regularly fights in the WW division. He keeps having to pull fighters up from lower weight classes to fight him at the only division limit he can make... it's actually pretty pathetic.
Hopkins did the same thing, but the difference is, he beat every single possible contender at the weight before he started doing so.Comment

1.) 140, not 144 or 145.
2.) Again, Marquez was moving to 140. Not 144 or 145.
3.) So he should be fighting Welterweights then, correct? Or should he move down to 140, and fight guys there instead?
4.) Shane Mosley, Antonio Margarito, Joshua Clottey, and Miguel Cotto.Comment

Lol. This is hysterical. Stop being such "haters" you guys. Floyd is the greatest ever. He deserves the right to invent his own weight class/alternate boxing dimension where he can fight smaller guys and be immune from such trivial things as "facts". Pfft.

I don't think you are included... you have a brain and use it regularly.
DLT, the guy who just keeps repeating this **** about Floyd being less than a WW and how it's okay that Mayweather keeps pulling up non-WWs to fight him in a non-WW showdown at the WW limit, is one of the people who is included in that "some".Comment

I wasn't referring to you.
The names of the Gayleather crew don't spring to mind. They're not important enough for me to remember. I recognize them by avatars, and the "slurping" sounds that I hear when I read their posts. Not their usernames.Comment
