Billy Graham to sue Ricky Hatton?

BILLY GRAHAM has gone through with his threat to sue Ricky Hatton after he was dumped as his trainer.

The Preacher never had a written contract but was always given around 10 per cent of the Hitman’s purse in a gentleman’s agreement.

But Graham believes he is owed 10 per cent of Hatton’s earnings, totalling millions.

He said: “It’s been a fairytale and the fairytale has now been ruined. For me it has anyway. I loved him.”

Graham is in a sad state. He'll regret this if he does it, even if he wins. He views Ricky as a son, it is clear, and was heartbroken about the split. They'll reconcile eventually if he doesn't make it worse.

The speech reminds me of when Obi Wan watches Darth Vader dip into the firely lava...

I don't see why Billy should sue Ricky.

First off, they were very close friends, basically like family to one another.

Secondly, they had no real contract tying the two together.

Lastly, even if he somehow managed to win his case (I'm not sure you can win a case based only on a verbal agreement), what does it do? It sours their relationship even further, and makes Billy out to look like a money grubbing prick.

Well, a verbal agreement doesn't mean much. He lost already, and pretty ****** to sue Hatton because not only has he already lost this case, but I doubt they will be friends any longer. Fathers don't sue sons.
