He said himself he couldn't make 130 towards the end when he fought Chavez, so that is out. 135 I think he said he could have milked it. I'd say 140 he could have stayed at throughout his career.
Not sure how many fights he actually drained and rehydrated for as far as gaining 10 pounds like other fighters do.
When he was fighting at WW, he was weighing as high as 149 by fight-time from what I hear. 149 = JrWW fight-time weight.
To me, he could lose two pounds and be called a legit WW/147...but given the way things on run, he is not a legit WW compared to the rest of the competition in the division.Comment

Did you know that for about six years, Marquez and Mayweather fought one class apart? With most of that time being four pounds apart? He said himself he couldn't make 130 towards the end when he fought Chavez, so that is out. 135 I think he said he could have milked it. I'd say 140 he could have stayed at throughout his career.

Also, I was surprised to see that JuanManuel and Floyd have fought at the same class before.
I had to go look that up after alot of disinformation.Comment

I don't think he should be fighting JMM either, but it's obvious why he is doing it, and I've discussed it before: To out-do Pac; tune-up fight; Promotion because it is a "name" fighter and it will lure Pac into a fight; #2 P4P who has disputed fights against Pac.
Plus, yes, Floyd is a legit WW in my opinion but not compared to the rest of the fighters in his division who blow up in weight. To me, Floyd is more WW than those who are way above 147 come fight-time.
If we go by fight-time weight, he is more JrWW. Pac was 147 against Diaz. Hatton, 149+...just like Floyd.
It's not like Floyd is a WW blowing up 10-20 pounds by fight-time from the original weight of the division.
JMM also moved up to JrWW and when he fights them, he will most likely fight fighters that are 147+ by fight-time.Comment

He can't; not now. He hasn't fought at 140 since 2005 and doesn't seem to like to drain weight and then rehydrate like other fighters. For him, I guess, it is better to just concentrate on the fight instead of making weight for the scales.
The point still remains: Well first, I would have to know what JMM weighs in at by fight-time at JrWW.
Point: JrWW fight at 147+ usually by fight-time. So skip the b.s. weigh-in and just fight healthy.
This is why I respect the HW more. They just show up and fight and don't ***** about weight divisions.Comment
