On top of that Spinks has the IBF. I'm sure Mayweather will come in at 147 FN, Spinks is gonna get that ass beat.

Mayweather vs Spinks would be a good fight. Spinks doesn't have his running legs anymore so he will take the fight to Floyd like he did to Latimore. I'd love this fight over Marquez/Mayweather, no one will be able to complain about PBF fighting smaller guys.

I actually think that Mayweather-Spinks in 2009 is a much more entertaining fight than it would've been in 2006.

I would give Floyd more credit for fighting Spinks than I would for fighting JMM.
Honestly I give them both slim chances of beating Floyd so they fall into the same boat. To me JMM makes sence if he is really gunning for Pacman, but making a fight with Pacman may be tough. Fighting Spinks makes a lot more sence if he wants to fight at 147 or 154 against Shane Mosley.

Floyd would most likely get paid more against JMM but Don King probably could promise Floyd a lot of money (really how much does Spinks have to get paid?).

It would be interesting to see what King does with a big time event, he has kind of fallen off but I think he understands how to sell a fight. It is an odd couple but well matched, Don King will really sell the fight (ain't nobody that can sell a fight like Don King, not even Bob Arum) but he really needs Floyd to make the event Spinks is a fine b-side, would be a real gauge of Floyd's star power (a pretty big gamble).

No way Floyd fights Spinks now. Spinks obviously isnt a power guy but I still dont see Floyd coming back and going to 154 in his 1st fight. There is also no way that Spinks can come down in weight at this stage of his career. I disagree with people who say that it will be boring. Its the same thing alot of people say about Floyd-JMM. What they dont realize is that Floyd is aggressive against someone his own size or guys who arent physical enough to push him around. Even if the Spinks fight is just techniqal I would still love it. I love those fights more then any other kind. So much skill involved. Its truly the art of the sweet science

If its classed as a tune-up I aint bothered who he fights because we can't expect him to get int here with Cotto or Mosley yet.
