How much credit would Oscar have gotten if he had beaten Floyd at 154???

In all fairness, Floyd was jumping up a few pounds to fight Oscar and he came in at what, 150? Plus, Floyd was barely 30 yrs old and in prime shape.
In comparison to JMM, he'd be coming up 2 weight classes from 135 to 147 and is going on 38 years old and has been in way more brutal fights than Floyd's ever seen along with never even fighting above 140.
Plus, Oscar wasn't even the favorite in the fight and Floyd called for the fight at either weight (147 or 154). He met the Jr Middle limit and beat an inactive Oscar. Big name on Floyd's resume which he deserves credit for, put let's be real...that was not the Oscar that made his mark on the sport. Not as bad a beating obviously, but its like Oscar beating Chavez in the sense of the younger lion beating the older lion, nothing new in the world of Boxing.
He's going to fight a Welterweight, not necessarily a top guy yet, but they'll be a Welterweight.Comment

He didn't beat him, so theres not that much point debating it.
It would of been a great win of course, but you'd still get the sceptics saying a re-match at WW should be madeComment

chavez wasn't officially a win anyway so your point is mute. chavez and whitaker were about the same size, pernell only had 2 or 3 welterweight fights and near enough skipped jww.
mayweather has been fighting at 140+ for 4 years, pacquiao has just 1 fight.Comment

Mayweather fight night weight 149
Pacman fight night weight 148
Pacman has proved himself at WW while JCC didn'tComment
