Juanma, looking to fight Caballero, Vazquez or Marquez next

Bayamón. The faces of the Mexican Israel Vazquez and Rafael Marquez and Panamanian Celestino Caballero still floating in the mind of Juan Manuel "Juanma" Lopez, and after his impressive demonstration on Saturday at the Filipino Gerry Penalosa, the Puerto Rican champion expects one of them a step forward.

"I want to fight with the greats. We will sit with the company (Top Rank and PR Best Boxing) to determine that. I want Caballero, if the money is right Ill fight him next, Vazquez and Marquez are the better figts and the bigger money. If I ge pay what is right. Ill fight anywhere, "said Lopez, who retained his WBO JR FeatherWeight crown with a TKO victpry over Gerry penalosa in Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum in Bayamon.

"What I want are the big fights, as this is not just a sport I love, but it is my job and my life. This depends on my family, "said the monarch.

Also, Todd duBoef, president of Top Rank, said that he would love to see Lopez versus Marquez, Vazquez and Caballero in the near future, but who also want to see the Puerto Rican champion in the ring again as soon as possible after a well deserved rest.

"In the same way we do with all our boxers, we planted a seed and then grows. We have seen the development of Juanma and want to remain active, "said DuBoef.

"We love to fight with anyone in the division either Vazquez or Marquez. But I want to continue to be active instead of chasing rivals because they would fight only once a year, "he added.

Lopez, meanwhile, confirmed that plans to gain weight to the feather division (126 pounds) by the end of 2009 or early 2010 and a second world title.

Meanwhile, the champion for now take a break and enjoy a short holiday with his family before returning to the gym in preparation for what will be his next engagement.

It's the right next step, the veteran 122 pounders are the ones he should fight next. Caballero is the fight I most want to see though because we don't know if Marquez and Vazquez will be the same when they come back whereas Caballero is at his best right now.

I wont lie, I want to see Juanma vs vazquez. because is for the linal and the ring titles.

Now, if vazquez and Marquez retires leaving caballero as the #1 Contender and Juanma at #2, well then Caballero vs Juanma.

I want Juana to grab that Lineal title before he moves up!!!!!!!!

A Marquez fight should be really good if Marquez isn't too affected by the trilogy. Lopez' chin should be tested in that one.

I think he'll do really well, he'll probably remain undefeated at 122, I don't really see anyone beating him there. I was picking Vazquez over him before but his recent performance against Penalosa coupled with the reports of Vazquez having trouble leads me to pick Lopez over him now. He can end up in the pound for pound top 15 by the end of the year if he isn't already.

It'll be interesting to see how he does at 126, he has the height to carry the weight but I wonder if the power will carry up with him.

I think, marquez will give Juanma some trouble.

Hell carry his Power up to 130.

Juanma s a bit weight drain at 122, his best weight will be 130!!!!!!!!!!!!!
