If he wins, he puts himself in line to fight the winner of the Toshiaki Nishioka vs. Jhonny Gonzalez fight.

I just randomly checked this because I was thinking about how both Marquez and Vazquez should have fallen off The Ring rankings because they have been inactive for over a year, but... this is what I found when I was checking the date on when they last fought.

This is certainly good news, I wish him all the best if it goes through, and hopefully after Rafael gets his feet wet again with this one, we'll see Rafa and Juanma facing off in the near future.
