I was very impressed with JuanManuel Lopez. Stamina was a big question mark for him going into this fight and now we know he can go 12 hard rounds, at a very high pace. He's a damn good inside fighter, those hook-uppercuts combos were beautiful, with BOTH hands. This guy seems to have it all, I would like to see him box a little more to see if he can do that as well as he fights on the inside.

to bad margarito only landed 20% of the punches that night
He was not going to break Espino's record though, that fight lasted 11 rounds.

yea i dont think he was going to break that 637. he would of have to landed about 80 punches for 10,11, and 12

Yea he seemed to be comfortable ****in away on the inside last night.
I'm used to seeing him box a lil more so it was another dimension in his game that I had yet to see. I found myself wondering throughout the fight if he just took a step back and gave himself a little more punching room if some of those big shots would have counted a lil more. Can't say enough about Gerrys heart though!

Very important to add that he was landing at 44% which makes it soooo much more impressive then anything the Tiajuana Tornado has ever done inside the ring.

This is correct... I couldn't remember which fight did that.

What record does Larios-McCullough hold? Most punches landed in a round? I can't remember...

The Holliday-Robinson one was most in a championship bout though.

Maybe... he was getting awfully tired towards the end it looked like. I was actually worried about the look on his face.

At the end of every round, the look on his face just said "****, I can't believe this guy is still up, I'm getting really tired throwing a zillion hard punches a round."

By the end, his punches looked a lot softer than I was used to seeing too. I can't blame him, throwing that many would take a lot out of anyone.
