lamont peterson's only problem, actually both the peterson brothers problems are the fact that they lack power. which is odd when you watch them fight they both have great speed, accuracy, and leverage on their punches but no stopping power.

i think that lamont and his brother are very talented and they are solid fighters, i think that the only negative aspect in their career, which could be the deciding factor on whether or not they become world champs, is their power, because if they don't have the ability to keep a guy off of them, say a victor ortiz, if they can't get respect for their punching power at the top levels of their division/game, then, it's tougher for them to produce exciting fights, and it's tough for them to win against guys who can **** who have good chin and stamina...........

the peterson brothers are top quality, they are both boxers to the fullest extent of the description, they just don't have the natural equalizer, power.

so if you don't like fighters without stopping power, that is probably why you don't like lamont or his brother, because neither one is going to ko a qualified opponent...............

Ortiz would win by KO.

I'm not a fan of the Peterson bros. They are steady fighters but lack that extra gear.

There isn't anything wrong with the way Peterson fights. He isn't a negative fighter. He comes forward and throws power shots...there is a lot to like there. As deuce mentioned already...the guy has no real stopping power. He's an accumulation puncher with a poor mans Winky Wright defense.

I'd like to see him in with Ortiz. He'd put a **** ton of pressure on Ortiz. I think it'd be very entertaining throughout. Both guys throw serious punches and are on the way up. There aren't enough fights like this that get made. I love seeing prospects battle to separate the elite from the middling sorts.
