Having now seen the fight properly and not on a stream that kept cutting out, it didn't seem as bad, Froch-wise, as I thought. I was mostly looking at still pictures on a crappy stream last night and listening to crowd reactions.

After the third round Taylor started to slow and it became more competitive, even if I still didn't have Froch winning a single round until the sixth.

My score was the same though... 106-103 Taylor going into the last.

.. oh, I couldn't understand Jim Gray's complaint with the stoppage, even getting the ref in to explain his actions. Taylor was totally out of it, looking at his feet and pitching forward, just taking flush shots to the head without reply.

You got me there, I didn't think about that one.

To tell the truth though, I'd never seen Sosnowski before, and we all know Danny pretended to lose on purpose to be kind to the new guy.

Basically, Danny doesn't count in this. From punching a hole in the entire universe to making Marciano quit, the guy's done his work well.

I watched the fight last night on ITV after successfully avoiding the result all Sunday at work!

I thought Taylor had the fight won by UD/SD if the fight had gone the distance. Early on, he creamed Froch and at one point i thought Taylor could of ended the fight there and then if he'd pushed harder.

Gotta hand it to Froch though, although i don't like him and find him very unclassy- he is an absolute warrior. He can definatley still improve, i'd love to see Calzaghe put him on his ass though

I predict Taylor to win this fight and am now eating crow!!. That being said I have to give props to Froch who took all Taylor had and as any good fighter does dug deep to do what it took to not only win but knock Taylor out!! No doubt about it Froch is the real deal and Taylor well enters a long line of other media generated fighters who never had the endurance and will to reach greatness. His 15 minutes of fame came when he beat Hopkins. He should retire but he won't. He'll still command millions as Lacy did from fans that just can't believe someone with this much talent just can't stay at the top.

Bluemax, I don't consider you need to eat crow over it, as Taylor was only 14 seconds off taking the belt.

The only silly picks were those that said Froch would get KO'd by Taylor. I know he's there to be hit, but his chin is solid and Taylor couldn't even get blown-up welters out of there in his middleweight championship reign.

The most likely outcomes IMO were the one where Taylor gassed out and got stopped late, or Taylor winning on points.
