He beat KO'd Taylor much more convincingly in the first fight. This fight got stopped with Taylor standing. Also, Pavlik beat a prime Taylor in an earlier round, when exhaust wasn't an excuse for Taylor. And Pavlik showed he could outbox Taylor in the 2nd fight. Froch showed no hope of outboxing Taylor.

Taylor did gas in the first fight. He was almost wiped out after putting Pavlik down in the 2nd and couldn't follow up. That turned out to be one of Taylor's worst camps too. After the fight, it became known he was screwing around on Steward when it came to training. Playing video games with his friends and what not instead of focusing on Kelly.
