Great fight, and an exciting one, but this didnt change the way i felt about juanma. i knew he was good, and i knew he would win by ko. I have more respect for penalos now tho. I dont think this is the fight that made him a star, and quite frankly, i knew the boxing world would hype this win to be bigger than it is

im not saying hes not a star, just saying that this fight isnt the one that confermed it for me. i knew he was a star after koing de leon in 1 round. Hes been a star in my eyes

That would be a great fight. I actually studied with Juanma in Juncos, PR...haven't followed any of his fights till recently though, but as you said I have to pick the boricua.

it was an ok fight. penalosa took all them shots.. he has alot of heart. as for juanma hes gonna be a big star... but needs to tighten his defense a bit. and where is my 1 k scenespectator? lol

Juan Ma just showed he is the bigger man, nothing more! He 's reputed to be a big puncher yet with so much big punches he threw, Penalosa never wobble. The fact he still looks strong at the end of 9 rounds! Only two things it showed in this match, that one, JuanMa is stronger than Penalosa at that weight level, and two, Penalosa displayed again his superb defensive skills that never betrayed him for all his fights!

LOL...nah most puerto ricans can talk. Juanma is one of them. Cotto on the other hand doesn't seem to talk much, but then again I don't know him like that.
