Fair enough, yet he still has to KO someone in the Top 10, Lopez has two of those in Gerry (TKO) and PDL, both of whom were champions. I would prefer to keep Juan away from Gamboa, the chin is the defining difference between them. I know that you will say those were off-balance KDs, but the flaw is still there.

juanma was great tonight but im not really sure he's ready for either izzy or rafa but he's young still anyways.couple more 12 rounds for him should be enough!

I think he's ready after tonight and also because of what he did in his last fight.

i mean, ive never seen gamboa rocked, so i wont question his chin..... its not like hes amir khan or something. he just opens up, and get knocked off balanced.... nothing major

Kinda like Hamed. Dude has **** balance and paid for it by getting knocked down like 10 times in every fight. He teh n fought Barrera and he was never really rocked but just just outbox.

i really dont see y hes compared to hamed..... style-wise, hamed waited for big shot oppertunities, while gamboa works the jab, and stays busy.... gazmboa looks to fight, every minute of every round, and can ko at anytime.....

If he improves his defense, wich is pretty good, he will be near to be unbeatable!!!!!!!!!!!

Most of the punches he took from Penalosa were to get him to open up so that he could land his own. Juanma has good defense and a rock solid chin to boost.

I thought he was pretty hurt against Ramirez. Gamboa has great skills and is tremendously gifted. That said, he cant afford to fight the way he currently does against a fighter as patient, powerful and precise as JuanMa.
