I'm sure Taylor would like a rematch, but I see no earthly reason Froch would give him one other than a very good financial deal I doubt Taylor is likely to be worth any more. Taylor sure as hell wouldn't have given Froch a rematch if he'd got the SD, unless it was in the contract (which I very much doubt, in this case). Froch was and is still the champ, who stopped the challenger on his own turf, and the other belt-holders await.

Forget Froch v. Taylor II, roll on Froch v. Kessler.

It's the only fight out there for him, IMHO. And honestly, if he wants it badly enough and doesn't fanny around in training, he would beat Froch. I like Carl, but he was lucky that he fought a fighter who probably didn't take him seriously enough, and who is renowned for gassing in fights.

I respect jt as a boxer, I just don't know how Pavlik, Froch who have less skill then Jt manage to beat him each time.

I know styles make fights, but JTs style should be the one giving fighters like Pavlik and Froch problems not the other way around. Its like they can break Taylor down with pressure but they don't exactly have that great of skills compared to Taylor..
On top of the stamina issue, Jermain has bad defensive mechanics, he's there to be hit when pressured. He does nothing to confuse and him dropping that left low when he's backing up in straight lines is maddening.

Froch showed grit and real determination. I know he can add at least one person to his fan base tonight. I was impressed with his will and ability to bounce back and seize the moment.

i give him credit for pushing over a tired man. what else did he do? i think the ko should be split between the ref and froch since they were both in the ring. the ref showed a lot better defense than froch though.

How could this be true when Taylor looked so much better in the rematch? That was a close fight. Do I think JT has lost some athletic ability? Yes, but he also seems to have honed some skills while taking on top notch opposition. Carl Froch showed a lot tonight. And I agree with Visitation, there is no need for a rematch. Not now anyway. Taylor got his shot at the belt and got KTFO in the last round of a fight that slipped away from him minute by minute. Actually, Froch just took it from him - and fought like a champ in the championship rounds. Bring on the rest of the super middles.
