    Juan Manuel Lopez.

I'm gonna watch that fight tonight just to see how good he is.

I've been hearing a lot about him in recent months.

I want to see if he's just some new Puerto Rican hype job or if he's really legit.

I generally don't watch midget-fighting so can anyone tell me about the guy he's fighting...

He has a chin made of titanium/platinum/iron mixture... never been down, never been hurt.

Lopez has taken 3 straight first round KOs in three different ways. HBO just wrote a cool article about the three faces of Lopez.

Against Ponce de Leon, when he won the title, he was backing up because Ponce is a hard puncher and was throwing and throwing and throwing in the first round. He picked his spot, and iced him with a right hook.

Against Figueroa, a sub-standard fighter, he measured the distance with half-jabs for a minute, and then used some dead accuracy to land a lead left and a right hook to finish the fight 2 for 2 on power shots.

Then against Medina, another sub-standard fighter with a glossy record, he bull-charged him and made him quit in a minute and a half... Medina's effort was pathetic in this fight.

Penalosa was getting severely outboxed by a really good fighter in Jhonny Gonzalez, and landed a monsterous left hook to the body that crippled Gonzalez... making him a champion at bantamweight.

He is going to be outclassed for a lot of the night, but his iron chin, resolve and power will keep him in the fight for every moment that it is still going.

Honestly, the intrigue of tonight is to see how insane Lopez's power is, testing it against one of the best chins in the business.

How can someone be considered to have an iron chin when they're getting hit by a guy who weighs 122lbs?

JuanMa is the real deal. I'm expecting Penalosa to be covering up a lot in this fight, but ultimately succumbing to the power and pressure of JuanMa in the 5th round.

You have some rare guys like Guzman, it's said he can take a shot from Tyson and still be standing. He has p4p the best chin in boxing.

Then you have guys like Valero, who punch harder than a lot of middleweights. He's p4p the hardest puncher in boxing.

It's one of the reasons I want to see Guzman vs Valero.

I see your point though. What I'm not sold on yet about JuanMa is his chin. I know he can box beautifully, and he has a good work-rate, ring smarts etc, but I want to see how he responds to a solid flush shot from Penalosa.
