    poor fitting gumshields

Got my 7 year old boxing son two gumshields so far and both don't fit. Followed instructions to the letter but when he opens his mouth it falls down. One any ideas on good gumshields and secondly can he just use the one that falls down?

    thanks

Don't think he would be able to use one that falls down, ask your trainer. If you want to get him a worthwhile one that will fit him perfectly then go to the dentist and ask if they make personalized gum shields... they are expensive but apparently will give you the best fit. I got a normal one, but mine don't drop down when I am using it so mine is fine...

I wouldn't recommend you slashing out money on a personalized gum shield at his age though, because his teeth will change obviously and might grow differently when he gets his second set so you don't know how long it would be until you would need to buy him a new one.

    Hope this helped...
