I was going to make this thread for the past 3 days as Ive made several post about it. Why does everyone keep talking about JMM when the Pac-Hatton fight is already here? I seriously doubt if Floyd is going to sign the JMM before May 2nd, and after then there is no shot of this fight. Stop talking about it. There is no way in hell that Hatton doesnt fight JMM if he wins and if Pac wins then he will either fight JMM or Floyd. Floyd-JMM is dead, thats if it ever was alive in the 1st place. Again, doesnt my May 2nd thing make sense? There is no way that the fight will happened if Floyd doesnt sign for it by then and there is no reason to think he's going to do so. He's going to "try" to go straight to Pac. I think he either never was serious about JMM or he was serious but couldnt get the money right with HBO. I dont think the weight was as big as a factor as everyone thinks.
Now you have Floyd hanging with Don King. We already know that King doesnt play games. Even if Floyd wanted JMM 1st, King probably would convince him to try to go straight to Pac. I think Floyd's team started thinking about King and it all makes sense. The Pac-Floyd fight would be one of the biggest in history and certainly the biggest in a long time. It will sell no matter what but King gives it that extra umph. The other thing is that King is a beast at getting the big fight. Floyd probably wants King because he thinks he could help make sure that he gets the Pac fight. Then when you talk about the money, there arent many guys that can hang with Arum but King. Oscar's people can but then they always try to make Floyd sign contracts for them to control there future fights. He could go back with Goosen but after the Williams-Pavlik thing, Floyd probably doesnt think that Goosen may be able to come to a deal with Arum.
Did you see King tonight? That was so funny. He has Spinks right in front of him and you could tell that he was trying to sneak in a shout out to Floyd but was trying to play it off at the same time. He 1st talked about a Floyd-Spinks fight but then he quickly switched and said that if Pac wins then Floyd is going to kill him next. He said it like he didnt even care about Spinks, like he was just going all out to recruit Floyd and sell him on working together. You could tell that Cory & Kevin were catching onto it with that look on there face and then Spinks turns around and says that "then Im next, right", and King was like "and then Spinks", but you could tell that he only said it to make Cory happy. It reminded me of Death Row records when Tupac came on and they said that Suge didnt care about anyone else anymore. Not Snoop or anyone. King could care less about Spinks tonight, he was only trying to recruit Floyd and basically promise him that he could get the Pac fight. After they win though, then JMM will definatly be next before he goes back to WW. JMM will probably have 1 fight at 140 by then so it wont be many complaints
