Jacobs vs. Walker Could Land on Pacquiao-Hatton

Undefeated super middleweight prospect Daniel Jacobs (14-0, 13KOs) could replace the removed James Kirkland on the Manny Pacquiao vs. Ricky Hatton undercard on May 2 in Las Vegas. Jacobs faces Jose Valera (23-5, 16 KOs) tonight on ESPN2, and if he wins, and has no injuries from the fight, he would face Kirkland's opponent, Michael Walker (19-1-2, 12 KOs). [details]

WOW, talk about staying busy!! Two fights in 8 days for a elite prospect? That's amazing.

I am going to say 10 percent chance this happenes. Varela is rugged and gives you rounds. Jacobs will have a somewhat tough fight in front of him

Varela is tough but limited and too small for Jacobs, he has a chance to look very impressive.

I mean damn......I've done some dumb **** too, when I was young
but Kirkland was right at the door! Ricky Hatton/Manny Pacquiao
fight would have put him on, especially if he would have performed
the way he does. I lost a couple of opportunites not listening or
doing something dumb without thinking and I know he is kicking
himself right now. I think he just needs a strong figure to kind
of shape him out because he is definitely on his thug.

Maybe we're finally going to get some talent at 168. Jacobs might be able to save the super middleweight division.

                    Say what?

I'm gonna give Jacobs a call tomorrow morning and see if he's taking the fight.
