Quintana vs. Perez Heads To Chicago For June 5

Former welterweight champion Carlos Quintana (26-2, 20KOs) returns on June 5 against veteran Danny Perez (34-5, 17KOs) in Chicago. Perez has never been stopped and went 3-0 in 2008 after returning to the ring after a three-year layoff. The fight will be Quintana's second at junior middleweight. [details]

So many fighters at 154 that think they're ready for a title shot.

I didn't know Perez fought Margarito twice and knocked him down in 1999.

I really hope he wins and would love to see him as a champ again. He deserves it, especially after being avoided by Williams for a 3rd fight. That way he can get in the picture with the rest of the P.R. champions.

with all due respect, did you see what paul williams did to quintana after in the 2nd fight........please dont try to make it sound like paul williams was avoiding quintana for a 3rd fight, quite frankly paul destroyed quintana, there shouldn't have even been a need sor a second fight, wiilliams gave the 1st fight away with a very poor showing....and williams took what was his in destructive fashion in a rematch.....no need for a 3rd fight......let carlos prove himself again, and maybe maybe if he becomes a serious contender again, maybe pwill would entertain a 3rd fight......

Let carlos take on kirkland, angulo, heck let him start by fighting cintron in an all puerto rican affair.....
