Pacquaio will take the 1st 3 rounds, then Mayweather would put on a beating. Unlike Hatton, Mayweather will use the 1st few to figure him out. Anyway, I think Mayweather will stop him in the 10th

For the record, Zab folded, when mayweather switched to a conventional high guard, closed distance so his punches were shorter distance to the target, walked zab down and went to his body.

          In other words, he adjusted.

No doubt about it, but Zab did come into the ring with a reputation of fading after 4-5 rounds. I give Zab a lot of credit for being the first to KD Mayweather.

To add to my last post in this thread, I think a lot in this fight has to do with whether Pacquiao can adapt to Mayweather's adaptations, he's not as good at making adjustments on the fly as Mayweather is but he's very adaptable nonetheless, if Pacquiao can adapt to Mayweather when Mayweather adapts to him, it would be a very, very close fight.

I think Mayweather will have to finally fight to win. Roach ain't dumb, he'll try to put Manny's power in play and make Floyd shell up a little too long. His gameplan will consist of stealing the early rounds and leaving Manny to snatch 2 of the last 7 in a shocker.

yeah as silencers mentioned, how both guys adapt and cope as the fight goes on plays a massive part in how it will turn out

i think mannys southpaw stance and his speed, plus the fact floyd is a slow starter who likes to feel you out early means manny wins the first few rounds (2-4 of the first 4 or 5 rounds maybe)

i think floyd settles into a bit of a rhythm after that, starts timing mannys attacks with short rights, moving away, occasionally leading and letting his hands go in combinations...if manny can tighten up defensively and land his attacks without getting countered (which will be extremely difficult) then this fight could get really interesting....

but my bet is floyd by UD, 116-112 probably, i think the fight will be tactical but with occasional spurts of two way action

When has Pacquiao shown he can adjust on the fly? Against Oscar, Hatton, and Diaz he didn't need to. I'm not sayin he flat out can't but I don't recall him doing so...

Floyd adjusted against DLH and Judah to keep it brief.

I really don't see Pac having a chance of winning if he doesn't force the issue. I don't think Floyd will lose to anybody his size if the strategy is to try and match wits with him.
