I would just call that a regular counter right hook. Mayweather was countered while shooting to the body. Check is when your opponent is rushing in. A check hook is used to stop an oponent from rushing in against you. Mayweather was just shooting a right he wasn't rushing in.

Mayweather wasn't rushing in he was just throwing a two punch combo and got countered. A check hook is used when your opponent is trying to rush in against you and you give em a hook for their troubles.

I don't know. The opponent comes waltzing in with a feeble right-hander with no chance of connecting while the left is crooked uselessly by his side so the counter was easy. It isn't particularly hard as well, but still Zab manages to get the KD because the opponents balance is so unscooled.

He was throwing a two punch combo while coming in... zab took a step back and fired a hook... thats pretty damn close to a check hook.. not exactly the way it happened in the hatton fight... but thats pretty close to a check hook

Didn't look like Judah was moving back while throwing the punch so no, I don't think so. Looks more like a plain counter hook to me.

What Floyd landed was way more accurate and prettier. Floyd wasn't hurt by that punch. He was really just off balance.
