      If PPV didn't exist and all fights would be aired on regular HBO/Showtime and be spread around other channels, Boxing would have been up there with Baseball, Basketball, Football, Etc. You don't see Baseball games having PPV's or NBA finals on PPV's or Superbowl or Hockey that's why those sports have so many viewers.

          Pay-Per View makes boxing very inaccessible especially to the ones who don't have a chance of purchasing the PPV. There have been a lot of great fights to start the year. Fights like Berto-Collazo, Mosley-Margarito, Diaz-Marquez, Dunne-Cordoba, and Solis-Viloria to name a few. I don't think boxing is dead but it did take a big blow because of the recession.
