hatton can fight scientifically... its in his history...

but the urge to hurt the "smaller guy" may overwhelm him...
your right.he'll forget about his gameplan.and will continue to chase the lil pac.
right until he realize his face turn into a bloody pulp.

If Pacquiao fights Hatton like he fought David Diaz and Barrera in their rematch Hatton will beat his ass.

No way should Hatton go back to Hatton-Tszyu style. He can and probably should mix it up, but the main focus should be to fight the way he did Pre-Tszyu and Post-Lazcano...with some new additions from Sr.'s game-plan.

If he gets in close and there is any chance of clinching, yeah, clinch him Pac up and wrestle him to wear him down (although I'm not in favor of the style). But he has to fight behind the jab. That jab was looking good against Paulie; it was snapping his head back with power and it setup his other punches; that's what you have to do. Without the jab, he is less likely to land the body-shots he needs to land or the right-cross and hook he was throwing against Paulie. Head-movement and keeping his hands up is key as well.

The jab will help him focus on combos because it is when he thinks clinch first that he comes in with one shot bombs to get in. If he does that, Pac will triple up his punches and mess him up bad.

Hatton's main thing is surely to attack the body but he can bust Pac's face up with combos behind the jab. Always think JAB. That's what Floyd Sr. kept on him about during training and during his fight with Paulie. If Hatton goes back to his style, Sr. will be on him again to remind him.

Oh, and one last thing, even though it's a bit frowned upon, Hatton should rough Pac up and toss him around and to the floor until he gets warned. It will play on Pac's mind.

However, that is if you want to fight and win like that.
I think he is likely to get **** for that if he wins like that but just saying it is Ricky Hatton.

that is a nice theory but you know and everybody knows hatton is going to get served up somthing delicious.

i totally see what you're trying to do though, there is nothing wrong with trying to instill a little bit of hope to hooligan hatton fans.

you are a good human being! after all what will this world come to without a little hope.

Just saying...it's a possibility on how he can win. Can he pull it off? eh...we'll see. It would help looking at his sparring though.

Pac is so lethal that I would say he should be the favorite but I wouldn't count out Ricky if he is "on."

Oh no! The excuses starts today.

Reason no.1 Why Hatton will lose to Pacquiao.

Hatton's only chance to beat Pacquiao is to smother him.

Hatton can't beat him any other way.

He needs to get in close, rough him up and work his body.
