I see what you mean though, its hard to judge a fighter until he consistently beats top fighters and Latimore is still new, but IMO i think he has a bad style for Spinks at this stage. A naturally bigger fighter, good puncher with some hand speed of his own. Also, its not like Powell was getting the better of Latimore at the time of the stoppage, the fight was dead even and Deandre was coming on.

Latimore was winning that fight and even if it'd gone longer Powell wasn't coming back. Powell is a hype job. He was a good amateur and a decent pro. The fact that Latimore beat him makes Latimore a legit contender, but I don't think that makes him good enough to beat Cory when Cory is Cory.

I know what you mean, i just feel Spinks isn't that motivated anymore, especially when he risked his rankings to go up and fight Taylor and then losing to Phillips, who i thought he should have white washed.

god, why did lattimore pick this fight. Corey spinks is a horrible fighter to watch & a horrible fighter to look good against. Beating him brings no weight whatsoever. Good luck to lattimore. It be a shame to lose to spinks, high risk, very low reward.
