vic has the significant advantage of being there against better foes... he has been on a roll lately... if not for manny pacquiao, he should have been fighter of the year IMO...
hasegawa has the better fundamentals & is faster... & yeah, he is more comfy at 118...
very difficult to predict the victor bcoz vic has shown lots of improvement lately... i feel that if he could do it against mijares, he could do it against anyone...Last edited by talip bin osman; 04-24-2009, 12:05 AM.Comment

Their styles give each other problems, Hasegawa likes to come forward but he doesn't come forward aggressively, he comes forward looking for counter opportunities, once he sees them, he takes a step back and lets his hands go, but he drops his right hand which isn't that bad against orthodox fighters but against a southpaw like Darchinyan, who likes to come over the top with the left hand, it could spell trouble, hard fight to call.Comment

notice that now you mention it...Their styles give each other problems, Hasegawa likes to come forward but he doesn't come forward aggressively, he comes forward looking for counter opportunities, once he sees them, he takes a step back and lets his hands go, but he drops his right hand which isn't that bad against orthodox fighters but against a southpaw like Darchinyan, who likes to come over the top with the left hand, it could spell trouble, hard fight to call.Comment
