At this stage, Mayweather's career > Cotto's, even with a couple superior welterweight names on Miguel's ledger (and I grant you that Mosley and Margarito took his 147 comp a level above Floyd's, but that's only a part of the picture). Cotto has Clottey to worry about. If he stays on course, who knows?
