yes i know. and that's my point. EVERYONE called mayweather but he was retired with a "mind and body breakdown". he "lost" the spirit and desire to fight but when marquez mentioned he's name he "cum" back (not in malcolm of course) to fight him in 147.

Cotto wasn’t nothing at 140, no one called him special or anything. When Floyd offered him a fight but let that blatant duck to be ignored. But when Floyd went to WW for the money all suddenly he was surrounded by great WW

Cotto vs Floyd wasn't seriously brought up as a big potential fight until Cotto made his name at WW and you know that. Floyd was calling EVERYONE out from Mosley to Winky Wright just to make his name heard, because then if you look at Floyd's response in 2007 to a fight with Cotto he seemed very reluctant to either talk or mention Cotto but on one Nationally televised program where he made the excuse of Cotto not being his own boss. So he would've rather much fought Cotto when he was an up and comer than when he's at the top of his game?

Bottom line is there was always Margarito, Mosley, Cotto, and if you wanna add other names you had Clottey & Cintron. Now that's not to say Floyd should fight EVERY one of those guys, but the fact is he fought NONE of those guys who were at that time the top fighters at 147.
