Frank Warren believes Ricky Hatton will pay the price for abusing his body when he takes on Manny Pacquiao on May 2.
The Hitman insists he is in excellent shape ahead of the showdown against the pound-for-pound king in Las Vegas.
However, Warren - who used to work with the 30-year-old - fears that Hatton will lose his IBO light-welterweight title to the man from the Philippines.
As well as having concerns over his lack of power, Warren feels the Mancunian, who has been known to let his weight balloon in between fights, has to finish the job early having "not lived the life of a professional boxer".
Too clever
"If Ricky Hatton doesn't do it early, I don't see how he can win the fight," he told Sky Sports News. "I just think that Pacquiao will be too fast and too clever for him.
"Ricky is not a big puncher. He's not been stopping guys.
"Let's take Paulie Malignaggi out of it, because he certainly didn't look very good when he fought in Manchester and he certainly didn't look good after one-and-a-half rounds with Ricky.
"Looking at the other performances he's had, he's not really looked that great to me. That's basically because he hasn't lived the life of a professional boxer.
"You can't abuse your body like he has done over the years. Of course he's going to be in shape, but you've got to think about what has happened in between, that catches up with you.
"I just think Pacquiao will be too smart for him."
However, Amir Khan believes his compatriot can come out on top, as long as he doesn't allow Pacman to get too far ahead on the judges' scorecards.
50-50
"It's going to be a brilliant fight," the lightweight said. "Ricky can't let him settle.
"Manny is one of those fighters that is a quick starter, so Ricky has to stay with him all the way and be as quick as him
"If he lets Manny win two or three rounds, it's going to be very hard for him to get those back. He has to keep very close to him and work the body.
"I think he can do it. If he's got his mind clear on the night and the right game plan, I'm sure he can do it.
"Manny has quick hands and quick feet. Will he let Ricky get close to him? Will he fight with him or will he box? It's a 50-50 fight to be honest."
