Morales made a good offer to JMM which he refused and priced himself out, Erik beats JMM handily in his prime. At this stage this fight is a joke...Morales should have hung them up after he beat Pacquiao when he was way past his prime.

As much as i like Morales, i just dont want this match up to happen.Erik should stay in retirement.Hes past it as a top level fighter and i would hate to see him tarnish his record with another loss.

jmm priced himself out of the fight when it was a good fight... now, this fight shouldn't even be made. its a farce.

The whole Mex Trio - Pac thing sounds nice, but we all know the real reason Morales wants to come back is the payday.

In that JCC doc from a couple of years ago, they asked EM about boxers fighting past their prime. I don't remember exactly how much he said he made, but he made nothing, like $200 a fight, at the very start of his career. From that sum, he had to kick down some money to his team and buy any sort of equipment when necessary. EM said it takes most fighters so long to get that good payday that when those days finally come, it's very difficult for boxers to walk away from the money.

Morales has done enough to be considered a legend in the sport. Just hope he doesn't do more to permanently damage himself.

I love Morales, and this would have been a helluva fight five years ago, but at this point Morales has no chance NONE.

Morales is not the same anymore. He gains so much between fights that when fight night comes he has to save his energy to go around the ring. Not worthy, Marquez is too damn good right now to be wasting time with Morales. If Baby Bull couldn't hurt him, fat Morales wont either.

Erik is my favorite of all-time and I'd much rather him enjoy his retirement than take unneccessary punishment. He's supplied us with more than enough wars. Time for someone else to pick up the slack.
