The Man was breathing through his mouth by like the 4th round. I was actually surprised he lasted as long as he did taking so many flush shots with his mouth wide open...and the fact that he actually was still able to win some rounds in the process. If the grappling wasn't allowed to wear down the old man, which reminds me a bit of the story of Milo of Croton towards the end of his career; Tszyu might have won that fight but we'll never know. Hatton had to do what he had to do in order to win. Not saying it was right, but...it got him the "W"
This post is wank, Kostya got his ass kicked simple as. He didn't look too bad 6 months ago when he knocked the 55-2 shamba mitchell down 4 times, ko'd him and took is IBO 140lb title off him did he, and he also didnt look too bad when the aussies said he would destroy Hatton, He got beaten into retirement, live with it!

Aaron Pryor Interview: "Kostya Tszyu Is A Quitter & That is Unforgivable!"

        Time: 7:00

I remember Pryor gave an interview before the Hatton fight was made about Tszyu being a great fighter; the fighter he liked to watch.

However, this interview is a bit disappointing because he should also know where Tszyu was at Mentally and Physically at the time and what has happened to fighters throughout history in his position. Like his good friend Alexis Arguello. But, Pryor most likely wouldn't have quit no matter what.

Fighters, like people, can change over time...and Tszyu did.

I think a Man with a family that is settled in his life may also be more likely to quit. I hear the same thing coming out of Floyd's mouth about he needs to be around for his kids so he is more careful in the ring....that can't always be good.

Because you don't look at the details. Even Hatton mentioned Tszyu's age and inactivity before their fight on why he would win, and how the Mitchell fight didn't prove Tszyu was all the way back. THE FIGHT WAS TO SHORT, and he was going up against a scared to death Mitchell which was confirmed by both Tyson and Emmanuel Steward who saw Mitchell in the dressing room prior to the fight. Mitchell was heading towards his execution and made the job easy for Tszyu.

I posted on this board (or maybe it was another board...eh...I think it was this site)...about how Hatton may be right in what he was saying leading up to the Tszyu fight. We had the same mind-set. People swore Tszyu was going to destroy him but I wasn't so sure. I favored Tszyu but I didn't really know what was going to happen. I didn't expect the grappling, that's for sure. I never saw Ricky do that before and I didn't like that he was doing it while I watched it and I ripped him for it afterwards but I also noted that it was very smart to do and I credited him on it.

I was still looking at his fights prior to Hatton (and before the layoff) on what Tszyu was at this point. I wasn't blinded by the big punch. Same **** used to happen with Tyson with "He's back." They were talking during the Botha fight saying Tyson couldn't put two punches together and he couldnt' get his punches off and that is a mark of a SHOT fighter....and then...BOOM...Big KO for Tyson and people got hype.

I've seen like 3 posts saying you can't be better than the man who beats you, yet nearly everyone on this site rate Hopkins higher than Calzaghe, Taylor, and Clinton Mitchell as well. EVERYONE should rate Roy Jones Jr. higher than Johnson and Tarver, and you can't lose more convincingly than Roy did. There's also Willie Pep gettin KO'd by Saddler 3 times, yet he's still ranked much higher. How bout Evander Holyfield? How bout Tyson or Ali? How bout all you who say Pac only beat old fighters.. so he's clearly better than all those old guys and weight drained Oscar anyway right? Afterall he won, how can he not be the better fighter?

You use this logic only to fit your scenarios, but contradict it when it works against you. I think it's pretty much a given that Pac will always be considered a greater fighter than Hatton, even if he's destroyed come May 2nd. He's had a more accomplished career in more weight classes and carries the far better resume. That being said, I'm giving Pacquiao the edge come fight night, but it's a tough one to pick seeing how motivated Hatton looks.

Agree on this: Even if Pac loses, P4p, he is better than Hatton and he has proved it.

However, if you really want to get down to it, P4P is the key word. Hatton is better if he wins, but just not P4P. Similar to why Sugar Ray Robinson is P4P the best fighter to ever live but he isn't better than Ali no matter what. Why? Because Ali, a HW, the real division of boxing, would kick the **** out of SRR.
Just like Floyd would get the **** kicked out of him by Wlad.

                  Just saying...
