Battering them is still preferable to getting battered.
PAC battering sparring partners is deceiving.

Sparring is simply used to keep your instincts and skills in tact while being in an "In Fight" situation. Nobody really looks at is like "Well he KO'd that sparring partner, he's gonna kill Hatton!!". That's silly. Sparring doesn't determine a fighter of Pac or even Hatton's level as they have been in there with top fighters. It's exercise more than anything. Of course they try to find sparring partners that will some what resemble what they'll be facing fight night, but in the end its "In Ring Exercise" and helps with building stamina for a 12 round fight.
roach knows hatton's strong so does pac, they're at this full time this is their profession, neither pac or hatton gonna under estimate eachother, they'd b a fool to, despite every/anything said to the press..Comment

You rarely see reports saying "Pac was battered by Felix Sturm in sparring" or something like "Pac's preparation has gone terribly. He's in the worst shape of his life. Instead of running in the morning, Pac was sleeping late because he was out singing karaoke and drinking"Comment

All these news and clips of PAC destroying his sparmates can do more harm than good for his May 02 tussle with Vicky.
If you look up who these sparring partners are and the pics and videos that's out on cyberspace, every single one of 'em are between 130-135lb fighters(including Antillon) maybe even some 126lbers. I mean, they offer no resistance for PAC.
Unlike his sparmates for his fight against De La Puta, who were very talented, ie Holloway and Amir Khan. I mean, there's an old saying in boxing "You're as good as your sparring partners" .
When he battles Fatton, he's not gonna be steppin' up against a lanky Mexican kid who weighs less than him. They need to put him up against 147lbers, 'cause I'm tellin' ya, Fatton is d&mn strong 140lber.
