      I grew up the same way and it's something you have to get over as the child. My dad never had a dad, so he didn't know how to be one. The only thing he could do was repeat his experiences. It takes some introspection to realize this though and understand when you're not carrying yourself like an adult.. given the difficulty of being able to discern such a thing, I can't really be al fire and brimstone at my father about it. I turned out all right, all is forgiven.

      In Floyd's case he turned out 100 fold well off, he really needs to relax. He's not the only kid to get his ass beat for what appears to have been for no reason growing up.
      it aint that easy, its something that grew on floyd jr. he became his own man without a father.

        It looked like he was ready to breakdown and cry. I'm sure he's a very nice man but has to play "macho" and ****y in order to excite the fans of boxing. JAT

          @1000 left

          Floyd Sr. and Jr. not getting along is not an act. My own brother had issues like that with my dad and harbored ill will for him like that for a long time through me. The way Jr. acts about it, is exactly how my bro is. They even have the same ahole personality at times.

                He needs to let it go, bottomline. Trust, it does nothing holding on to negative feelings like that. Especially when despite everything, Floyd Jr. is as big as he is because of his father's foundation in his career.

                  I didn't have a tear in my eye, but it was sad. You can tell he's really upset by the whole thing.

                    Sure it was touching but it was all bull****. He was a ****ty dad apperently, and Floyd shows the behavior of someone who didnt have a solid father figure in his life so I'm not surprised that he hates him. HBO is just working their magic to try and get casual fans interested.

                    I love that HBO uses Explosions In The Sky btw. Something about their music when played in montages. It just works.
