Put it this way, the entire Philippines is on his nuts. My mom watches Pacquiao and she isn't even a boxing fan. I think most the Pinoys here are boxing fans first and foremost just that they love Pac the most. To each his own though, you see posters like Xcaret and Viva who claim to be boxing fans but are really just fans of Mexican boxers and the same with most PRs and Floyd fans who have a general knowledge of boxing and boxers but hype their boys above all.Comment

don't believe that ****, it aint true! Pinoys are true boxing fans, we love boxing, most of us have sparred, goaded by adults when we were young kids or have competed in boxing matches during fiestas for cash prizes....Filipinos love to fight, its rare to meet a Filipino who hasn't been into a fistfight...in Philippines, you settle your differences in bare knuckle fight....Comment

theres probably a lot of pinoy pacquiao fans only watch boxing when pacquiao fights but not all. im pretty sure not all pinoys living in philippines watch pacquiao whenever he fight too. i mean not all pinoys like boxing.
lets say, if you are pinoy who dont like golf, and theres this one of the best philippines-born golfer who became popular in US, would you watch him play golf whenever he competes? of coure not.Comment

I know you guys are boxing fans that's why i said MOST.
but i have seen on many forums not only boxingscene in which pinoys have describe themselves as "temporary fight fans" just like the guy in the first post said.
that's pretty ****** because with no support, pinoy boxing could decrease drastically.Comment

Nothin wrong with losing to any of those guys. No matter what happens to Pacquiao...win/lose or draw He's guaranteed to give any of those guys the fight of their lives. Which is a testament to the greatness of Pacquiao starting his career 106lbs. and coming all the way to welterweight to give 3-5 of the greatest fighters of this generation the fight of their lives regardless. At least you cant say he ever ducked any1 regardless of weightclass.Comment

If Pac losses, I will post that:
- the stache is to blame, it didn't work its usual magic
- Buboy as a trainer only helped him not to forget his meals
- he couldn't ****ing understand what Freddie was saying
- Moorer got him all confused in training
- Ricky blackmailed him to lose or else he won't do beer commercial in Philippines with him
- the sight of Floyd Sr. scared the **** out of him
- the Brits booed the Philippine national anthem
- the Brits were chanting too loud he could not concentrate
- and lastly, he was charmed by Ricky's tango hugsComment

He lost to Morales but Filipino support never waivered for Pacquiao so I don't think a Pacquiao loss to Hatton will end the lives of Filipinos. Pacquiao has made a big contribution to the sport of boxing and this fight with Ricky Hatton will be a great addition to his legacy.Comment
