If not, why ask a superfeatherweight who has never fought above 135 to get up to 147?
It's not like I like him fighting JMM @ WW, I don't like that one bit. All I'm saying is that MAYBE Floyd has plans to stay at WW. HOPEFULLY, against Cotto.

He was better all around, still at his best at 140, but I just don't think he should risk losing the weight at this point in his career. Floyd isn't the same fighter he was in 2005 so it's time to move on to what he is now and work with what he has left and adapt.

at 32 yrs old, and a walk around weight of 150... i think making 140 is quite reasonable...

Compared to his opponets...a 140 pound floyd is fast...powerful and long.

JMM does not want this fight at anything but 147...if he knows whats hgood for him.

My thing with Floyd at 140 is, he really only had 3 fights with Corley, Bruseles, and Gatti. How do we know how well he would've fought against someone like Kosta Tzsyu who everyone looked at as THE 140 champ. Honestly, his performance against Gatti was his highlight at 140, he wasn't there very long at all.

I want to see if he could make 140 right now, but the notion that Floyd was this beast at 140 because he bodied Gatti who's known to take punishment from lower class fighters is a bit of a stretch. Ironically he fought more guys above 140 than he did at 140 ...but chill, he's not a Welterweight...

His performances in the ring showed... he was quicker, lighter, faster... regardless of who he fought... you could tell just by watching him move...

Everyone is talking about how FLOYD LOOKED.

He was fast..powerful...accurate....he was a beast at the weight....you cany deny his skilset at that weight.

The guy only moved up to chase a fight with Oscar...after he beats Oscar at 154 pounds....he didnt want to drop 14 pounds and fight Hatton at 140 so..he stayed at 147.

He fought Baldi for the WBC Ttile to get another championship in a new weight class.
