He is being annointed that "title" from boxing writers, analysts and the fans. I recgonize and acknowledge that he has "inherited" the P4P title due to Mayweather "retiring" almost 2 yrs ago, but even then Manny was P4P #2 / #3 on most peoples lists. Everyone talking **** about Manny don't deserve this/ don't deserve that is just hating.
Meanwhile, Money and Hatton are walking around claiming this and claiming that. Manny just fights who his people put in front of him, and it doesn't hurt to negotiate that you get the larger share of the purse once in a while.
My opinion, he barely edged out JMM in the 2nd fight (knockdown being the difference), Diaz was cherrypicking the weakest titleholder, and DLH, well, we all know DLH wasn't the DLH everyone was betting money on (even though I picked Manny to UD him). So again show me an article where Pac talks the talk. Oh..and I'm still waiting myself for Pac vs. JMM pt III. Peace!
he was #2. then when PBF retired he move to #1 simple as that. if u dont think he should be #1 then name a fighter thats more deserving of the spot. the only person that comes close is JMM who Manny beat( wether u agree with the decesion or not, its still marked down as a W )

Diaz and DLH were no where near P4P rankings and were not even top fighters at the time Pac beat them.

diaz was the #1 lightweight at the time, oscar was oscar

if hopkins had not lost, he would've have retained his spot no matter what

My point of this thread was to see if any Pac-Haters out there could prove he didn't DESERVE any of his accolades. Other fighters claim to be the best but never fight the best (ahem....Money Jr.), other's claim that if they beat Manny they become P4P king (cough....Hatton). Point is, Manny is humble and just fights, never talks ****, focuses on the task and wins. Why do so many people hate on good work ethic and humility?
And for the record- If people in the Philippines could afford to buy PPV matches, UK PPV sales would be nothing compared to P.I.

retired boxers can't hold the p4p #1 spot; that's dumb.
