Pacqui bashing

When this fight was signed I thought it would be a walk in the park for Pacquio.As the fight draws closer I am beginning to think it could be the other way.I think Hatton has a very good chance of beating Pacquio and doing it in style.

Pacquio is a one style fighter.He comes in,gives shots gets out move sideways and so the thing goes on and on.Hatton is a tough kid wth good footwork himself.He is even better with Mayweather Sr in his corner.When he comes in he uses a left jab and I have my doubts Pacman will be able to deal with that.

I have seen Manny's strategy ,his only change now is to give a body shot first,go to the head,try to tie in Ricky a bit hit to the body and move out.

I have great respect for both fighters and I think this is a 50-50 fight and not a one sided fight many think it will be.

Does anyone else think we could witness some Pacqui bashing from Hatton

This fight is like a benchmark.

The DLH fight didn't prove much except he can carry the weight, fighting Hatton is the real test and If he does beat him, then we get a clearer view on who is a viable opponent for him in the future.

I think Hatton will win.

good post.....i only see 2 outcomes to this fight....one, somebody gets destroyed because like you said one fighters style is just too much.....or it turns into a classic....hopefully a fight, every boxing fan can be proud of.

Hatton ain't a big enuf puncher to outpunch Pac, and he ain't fast enuf to outbox him. He needs to concentrate on outworkin him in close. Get in his close and swamp him wit sheer volume. Pac has always been committed to his jab, even when all he could do was follow it wit a left. No way Hatton outjabs him imo. The big edges Hatton has is in body attack and physical strength.

Hey there buddy his name is spelled Pacquiao not Pacqui just pointing that out. Hatton is a one dimension fighter as Floyd proved he comes forward. he can only fight coming forward. Pacquioa proved more then one thing in the Oscar fight he proved that he also brought his speed along with his weight to WW. Dropping down to 140 will benefit him in increasing his speed. His head movement and lightening fast hands will be much for Hatton to deal with. While Ricky is no slouch and has power heart and determination he tends to bruise and cut easily. I defintely see that coming into play. Depending on who the reff is will determine how the fight goes. If hatton is allowed to fight on the inside it will defintely increase his chance of slowing the much faster PACMAN down. hatton has a terrific body attack and if he uses it and goes there early and often he will help his cause. the one thing I am worried about besides what I have previously mentioned is Hatton walking in with his hands down and taking that straight left hand from PACMAN. Hopefully working with Senior pays off with Hatton being in better condition and his deffense. if he leaves himself open he will get caught and hurt PACMAN proved his power is still there at 147 and will defintely be there at 140. To me this is no walk in the park for either fighter.....Lefty

On the flip side PACMAN will have to deal with a true 140 lb fighter with power in both hands. Hatton has a tremendous body attack and is relentless with his volume and pressure. He can use his jab to get inside and work his hand to the body and head with power hooks and upper cuts. PACMAN seems to be open to the counter hook as JMM proved in his fights with PACMAN. Hatton has to keep his hands up and pull back his punches quickly so not to get countered by the straight left. PACMAN loves to use use his jab and even when he was a 2 punch fighter jab straight left he out jabbed some of the more skllied fighter (Barrera , Morrales). PACS power was evident in the DIAZ fight at 135 and in the De La Hoya fight at 147. to me his biggest asset is his speed at 147 he had WW power and Feather Weight speed. His in and out attack and use of fast and furious combinations are none to smile at. hatton like I said before is no slouch and PAC will have to try to keep him outside. If HATTON can get inside he will change the fight.....Lefty
