Time is running out for Floyd. He has about 10 days to make a decision on the JMM fight. I seriously doubt the fight will happened at this point. The May 2nd fight is too close. I doubt it happeneds now for a number or reasons. I think JMM and his team will decide to wait now. I think they will figure that they have a great shot of being the next guy if Pac wins and they basicaly have a guarantee of being the #1 guy if Hatton wins. Both guys are with Oscar, Hatton has already said that he wants JMM next, and there is no way that Hatton would fight Floyd before JMM. It just wouldnt make sense.
We as fans just read articles and see quotes here & there but we never know whats really going on. Has Floyd ever really wanted the JMM fight? Maybe its all been just a rumor or they talked but it was never fully serious. Nacho said the thing about the weight but was that the last thing holding up the talks or was that just the begining of the talks and Floyd never cared about the fight anyways? At this point I think that he's praying that Pac wins and wants to go straight to him. If he doesnt sign the JMM fight within the next 10 days then that tells me that he was never serious about it because its too big of a risk to wait as JMM will take all of Floyd's leverage away with Pac & Hatton at the negotation table. My basic point of the thread is this. He has 10 days or so to sign the JMM fight or thats gone. There is no way he will fight JMM after May 2nd. The fight date is too close and the options wont be there anymore.
That means the only guy out of the group that he could fight is Pac. Again, if Hatton wins then he will fight JMM. That means if Pac wins then it will be up to his team to see if they want Floyd or JMM. I see that as 50/50 for Floyd. Pac & Roach really want that big money fight and they think they can beat Floyd, e****aly with that layoff and no tuneup. However, Floyd will probably be a problem to negotiate with and they probably feel like they could beat JMM at 140 and then still fight Floyd next. Thats the same way Hatton feels. They know that Floyd wont say NO no matter when the fight happeneds because its too much money for him to turn down. Now lets say that both Hatton & Pac choose JMM to fight next. What would Floyd do? Do you guys think he stays retired, does he still fight a smaller guy like Bradley or Campbell because he knows that he's still next for the big fight out of that 1st group, does he go straight to a Mosley, or does he fight Berto to get his feet wet and then go to Mosley or Pac?
