Is it only a matter of time...

when these sanctioning bodies e.g. WBC,WBA,WBO and IBF create a belt that signifies the best pound for pound?

I mean, with all the 'pound for pound' title talk, is it a possibility that these leeches might create their own? now that some fights are being made at catchweights, it kinda makes you think that these sanctioning bodies might pull this off. with fighters now fighting for bs titles such as 'interim' champion, how is this not forseeable?

    just a thought.

No way. It couldn't possibly be defended cuz all fighters don't fight in the same division, hence the term p4p.

Maybe a belt can be awarded to the #1 P4P as something symbolical, but I sure as hell don't see a welterweight duking it out with a heavyweight for an actual P4P title.

I don't think it will happen. The greed on these leeches will prevent them from doing so.

It wouldn't really be necessary or practical because as Mangler said they are in different weight classes and don't fight each other. Also because they don't fight each other it is really a matter of opinion and the if majority of people think someone is P4P best then they are deemed as such....you really don't even have to win a recent fight to be considered p4p #1 come to think of it.
