    18 year old Saul Alvarez

anyone heard of him before? I used to watch him on Solo Boxeo and stuff, I think hes a really good prospect.

Hes not amazing, but again, hes 18 years old. I think he has a lot of potential, and look how many fights he already has.

hes already rated #21 by boxrec, #5 by the WBC and #8 by the WBA. He shouldnt even be thinking about getting a title shot yet, but its good to mention.

based on what I see in his style, he could REALLY benefit if he trained with Nacho Beristain. He likes to sit back and wait and counter the opponent, occasionally opening up with combinations. thats what Beristain fighters are known for more than anything. it would work out real well.

get him someone like Nacho who could make him fundamentally sound, and youve got a monster on your hands in a few years.

I dont know why hes such a whiteboy for a Mexican though. I understand that many Mexicans are a melting pot of different races, but damn, he looks like he just got picked out of Ireland.

I've seen him fight a couple of times. Hopefully he won't burn out early which tends to happen to fighters who started young.

Im not sure. he already has a lot of rounds under his belt, a little too many...but at the same time, he fights rather defensively, doesnt seem to take a lot of punishment.

I think it depends a lot on how he spars. excessive sparring is one of the biggest career killers, imo.
