I feel it's harder for the fighter who won the first bout because he and his camp have to stick with a similair fightplan as the first, where as, the fighter who is trying to avenge his loss will learn from mistakes and try to capitilize on weaknesses they believe they saw in the first fight.

If you're referring to something like Dawson-Tarver 2, I'd say its gonna be harder for Dawson considering how easily he beat Tarver the first time. Its hard to re-focus yourself when you know how easily you won first time round. There've been many recent examples - Malignaggi vs Ndou 2 comes to mind, Pac vs Barrera 2.

Winner of first fight I think, there's a lot more pressure on them to win by far and pressure ruins some people. Depends how mentally strong the fighters are though really.

I'd say it's harder for the guy who isn't as good.

I'd say the loser. Having a man in front of you who you know can already beat you is a real downer. The winner will be going in confident because they know they can already beat you.

I'd like to add that it depends on the nature of the win though. It will differ between Knockouts and Decisions.

                That says it all.

I like the OP, but this was a bit of a dumb thread. Sorry.

Interesting thread, interesting thought, but unfortunately I don't think there's an answer here. It really just depends on the fighters.

                    The winner, I'd say.
